When in doubt, #Zoom it out!

Fibromyalgia London Group presents FREE Virtual meetings/activities/sharing circles, etc. on Zoom (you don’t need an account to join in on activities). Stay as long or as little as you wish. Participate or just listen. “Mute” or “unmute”. Video or not. Whatever makes you comfortable. We try to limit the length of each session so as not to tax ourselves. Pacing (yeah, we used the “P” word, deal with it).

Saturday June 6th, 2020 at 1pm is Saturday Sharing Circle Session Virtual Edition (what happens in the virtual sharing circle stays in the virtual sharing circle!!!) on Zoom! Chronic pain? Chronic fatigue? Brainfog? IBS? Headaches? Anxiety? Insomnia? I could go on and on and on, but you know what I mean, and we know what you mean. Lots of people say they “get it”, we actually “get it”. Need resources? Information? Support? Someone to listen? Sharing Circle is all that and so much more! Join us!!!

Attention All Caregivers – Caregiver Support Group on ZOOM session will be on Monday, June 8th, 2020 at 7:00pm ET. Spouses/Significant Others, Parents, Family Members, and Loved Ones who support Persons living with FM and/or CFS/ME…this FREE Zoom group is for you!
The next Caregiver Support Group on ZOOM session will be on Monday, May 25th, 2020 at 7:00pm ET. Led by Rick Avdovich, spouse and support person of one of our Peer Leaders. What happens in the caregivers support group stays in the caregivers support group. No members of Fibromyalgia London Group are in the meeting and it is not recorded. All information is strictly confidential. We would very much like to connect to all Caregivers supporting those in the FM and/or CFS/ME communities of London and Area. WEEKLY!!! Wednesdays! Wednesday June 10th, June 17th, 2020 1pm ET on ZOOM! (VIRTUAL) TAI CHI FOR HEALTH CHALLENGES held weekly on Wednesday, 1pm Led by our Group’s Peer Leader, Terry Lynn Clarkin, who shares with us her extensive expertise in Tai Chi and Qiqong instruction. These 45-minute weekly exercise sessions are geared towards individuals with complex health issues including Fibromyalgia and Chronic Fatigue Syndromes, chronic pain and mobility issues.Open to all ages and genders. Family members are encouraged to join in these sessions too! Please set yourself up in a 4ft x 4ft area, with your laptop/iPad/iPhone/desktop/tablet/smartphone in order to follow the ZOOM session; also, have a straight back chair (without arms or wheels) with you and a towel (if you sweat glow). Those who either have mobility issues or use mobility equipment can do all exercises seated. The movements are performed according to the physical ability of the student. There is a focus on exercises that can be used for pain management and to address specific health issues. Free. Membership to Fibromyalgia (also CFS, ME and other chronic conditions) London Group is only $20 per year (not kidding) and that gives you admission for yourself and one supporter (family, friend, spouse, partner, loved one, caregiver, etc.) to any or all of our programs, including but not limited to: Sharing Circle (we talk, you talk but only when you feel comfortable; we share resources, information, etc. and what’s happens in the Sharing Circle stays in the Sharing Circle); Special Events which include speakers, presentations, therapeutic knitting with pain and purpose, charitable work, stone painting, social events and so so much more! Fibromyalgia Knitting with Pain and Purpose Group Halloween Treat with No Tricks!

Led by Janice Sumpton, Knitter Extraordinaire and Knitwear Designer with more than 50 years knitting experience. Living with chronic pain for more than 20 years, Janice found the rhythm and calming repetition of knitting very therapeutic in helping her cope with pain.

Fibromyalgia London Group (FLG) invites any member, support person, or member of the public to participate in a new activity program, KNITTING WITH PAIN AND PURPOSE. 

The program is sponsored by our Group, the Fibromyalgia London Group and offered in collaboration with the London Public Library, to support the needs of the FM/CFS/ME community in London, Ontario, Canada and area, as well as anyone who feels they will benefit from being a part of this new community-led program.

Our inaugural session will be held on Thursday, October 31st (Halloween, all treat and no tricks!) from 1-3pm in the Boardroom, 3rd Floor, London Public Library-Central Branch in Citi Plaza (formerly the Galleria), Downtown London, Ontario, Canada. 

This is a FREE  program, OPEN TO ALL AGES, but REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED – simply email mailto:fmgroup.london@gmail.com or phone 519-453-3198 to reserve your seat. 

Any male or female of any knitting skill level who is:

Interested in learning how to knit or about therapeutic knitting as a coping method for pain management…

Interested in swapping ideas on how to live everyday with pain and manage this pain…

Looking to enjoy fun time with others who share similar interests, make friends, etc…

Looking to give back to community by supporting local charities in need of donated knitwear (COMING SOON! Knit/Crochet for Donation to a Local Charity – We Will Provide Supplies!).

You’re welcome to join us (and tell your friends, family, neighbours, co-workers, everyone)! 

Don’t Know How To Knit? We’ll Teach You! Learn How Therapeutic Knitting Can Help You Cope with Pain. Come Meet for Fun and Crafty Conversations!

Yarn provided for beginners with Instructional Help (bring own 4mm or 4.5mm needles), or please, bring your own project!

Remember, you can get 2-hours free underground parking in Citi Plaza if you bring your parking ticket for validation at the Front Desk on the Main Floor.  You will need your Library Card with you.
